Grammar 101: Our New Series to Help You Get a Perfect Grammar Score

We’re starting a new series called Grammar 101.  In this series, we’ll teach you all of the grammar tricks and rules you need to get a perfect score on SAT or ACT grammar.  For real, a perfect score.

While the grammar sections can be intimidating, it’s important to know that there really aren’t that many grammar rules you can be tested on.  Grammar is basically the opposite of math.  In an ACT or SAT math section, there are thousands of different questions that can be asked, so it’s nearly impossible to know with complete certainty that you’ve learned everything a math section can throw at you.  Grammar on the other hand has a dozen-ish rules that are used over and over again, so if you can master those rules, you can master the whole grammar section.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be diving into these rules and giving you plenty of examples so you’ll know exactly what to look for on the tests.  Next week, we’ll answer the most common grammar question we get: What the $%#! is a semicolon?

We’re happy to take suggestions or answer any questions you have, so if you email us at spantestprepgrammar@gmail.com, we’ll make sure to get back to you and turn your question into a Grammar 101 post.
